CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSTM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedAPU GENERATOR SYSTEM (DUAL VOLTAGE)--ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contactsa metal surface a direct short may resultin instant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.I Reconnect APU control box to foot dimmer switch andbulkhead wiring harness to APU control box. Removefour screws (5) and four lockwashers (6), and releaserear panel (7) from APU control box (4). Disconnectwire 61 of APU control box wiring harness from APUGEN switch. Place red lead of multimeter in wire 61and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER and APUGEN switch ON and check for voltage. If voltage ispresent, go to step J. If voltage is not present,repair/replace APU control box wiring harness (seeparagraph 13-7).J Reconnect wire 61 to APU GEN switch. Disconnect wire61A from APU GEN switch. Place red lead ofmultimeter on APU GEN switch terminal and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switches ON,and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APU GENswitches OFF. If voltage is present, repair/replace wire61A of APU control box wiring harness (see paragraph13-7). If voltage is not present, replace APU GENswitch (see paragraph 13-7).2-142
