APU GENERATOR SYSTEM (DUAL VOLTAGE)--Continued
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, dog
tags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts
a metal surface a direct short may result
in instant heating of tools, damage to
equipment, and injury or death to
personnel.
M Reconnect APU control box to foot dimmer switch and
bulkhead
wiring
harness
to
APU
control
box.
Disconnect bulkhead to engine harness and starter
relay wiring harness from bulkhead disconnect. Place
red lead of multimeter in socket G of wire 61 and black
lead to ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switches
ON and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APU
GEN switches OFF. If voltage is present, go to step N.
If voltage is not present, go step O.
N Reconnect bulkhead to engine wiring harness and
starter relay wiring harness to bulkhead. Disconnect
wire 61 of switch panel to neutral safety to bulkhead
wiring harness from APU control box to foot dimmer
switch and bulkhead wiring harness. Place red lead of
multimeter in female connector of wire 61 and black
lead to ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switches
ON and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APU
GEN
switches
OFF.
If
voltage
is
present,
repair/replace wire 61 of APU control box to foot
dimmer switch and bulkhead wiring harness (see
paragraph
6-79).
If
voltage
is
not
present,
repair/replace wire 61 of switch panel to neutral safety
to bulkhead wiring harness (see paragraph 6-54).
