CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedAPU GENERATOR SYSTEM (DUAL VOLTAGE)--ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contactsa metal surface a direct short may resultin instant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.M Reconnect APU control box to foot dimmer switch andbulkhead wiring harness to APU control box.Disconnect bulkhead to engine harness and starterrelay wiring harness from bulkhead disconnect. Placered lead of multimeter in socket G of wire 61 and blacklead to ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switchesON and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APUGEN switches OFF. If voltage is present, go to step N.If voltage is not present, go step O.N Reconnect bulkhead to engine wiring harness andstarter relay wiring harness to bulkhead. Disconnectwire 61 of switch panel to neutral safety to bulkheadwiring harness from APU control box to foot dimmerswitch and bulkhead wiring harness. Place red lead ofmultimeter in female connector of wire 61 and blacklead to ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switchesON and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APUGEN switches OFF. If voltage is present,repair/replace wire 61 of APU control box to footdimmer switch and bulkhead wiring harness (seeparagraph 6-79). If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire 61 of switch panel to neutral safetyto bulkhead wiring harness (see paragraph 6-54).2-144
