Place red lead of multimeter insocket H of wire 40 and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER switch on and check for voltage.Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage is present,repair/replace wire 40A, 40B, and/or 40C of gagepanel wiring harness (see paragraph 6-44). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step D.DReconnect gage panel to bulkhead wiring harnessto gage panel. Install ground strap (5), twolockwashers (4), two screws (3), gage panel (6),three lockwashers (2), and three screws (1) tomounting brackets. Remove three screws (7),three lockwashers (8), ground lead (9), and flatwasher (10) and release main switch panel (11)from mounting brackets. Disconnect switch panelto gage panel and miscellaneous switches wiringharness from main switch panel. Place jumperwire from socket N to pin N. Place red lead ofmultimeter in socket H of wire 40 and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, go to step E. If voltage is not present, goto step F.2-269
