Position a container to catchfuel. With MASTER and fuel pump switches in ONposition, crank the engine. If there is no fuel flowfrom disconnected fuel line, replace mechanical(gear type) fuel pump assembly (see paragraph 4-5).Ii there is fuel flow, reconnect fuel line and go tostep D.CAUTIONDo not remove or disturb the center (final)filter element. If the center (final) filterelement is removed, the element must bereplaced.D Loosen air bleeder valve on top of fuel/waterseparator. With MASTER and fuel pump switches inON position, crank the engine. If there is no fuelflow from air bleeder valve, replace outerfuel/water separator elements (see paragraph 4-15).EDisconnect fuel line connecting fuel/water separatorand engine at elbow on left front engine shroud.Position a suitable container to catch fuel from fuelline. With MASTER and fuel pump switches in ONposition, crank the engine. If no fuel flows from line,replace final filter in fuel/water separator (seeparagraph 4-15). If problem is not corrected afterabove checks, notify Direct Support Maintenance.NOTEIf engine does not shutoff using fuel shutoffswitch, use manual fuel shutoff handle tostop engine.F With MASTER switch in on position, have anassistant operate FUEL SHUTOFF switch severaltimes. Listen for a click from engine. If no click canbe heard, troubleshoot fuel shutoff solenoid (seeparagraph 2-19). If click can be heard, notify DirectSupport Maintenance.Change 12-40.5
