If not already opened or removed, open left side engine deck access doors and remove left side engine deckgrilles (TM 9--2350--292--10) to gain access to electrical connections in engine compartment.2. Remove voltage regulator cover (WP 0239 00) to gain access to NATO slave connections.3. In the following procedures, clean and dry all electrical and ground connections prior to application of sealant.WARNINGDo not seal battery cap vents. Buildup of battery gasmay cause batteries to rupture, spilling acid which maycause personnel injury.4. Apply adhesive sealant (MIL--A--46146 11EWN ) to all positive and negative battery terminals and ground connec-tions (1), to main engine ground connection (2) and to NATO slave connections (3).5.
