However, with boom at its level posi-tion (full down), and hoisting a 30,000 lb(13,620 kg) load, a distance of 11 feet (3.35m) to either side of lengthwise centerline ofvehicle in maximum cab may be turned. Tomove 30,000 lb (13,620 kg) to a distancegreater than 11 feet (3.35 m) from vehiclelengthwise centerline, boom must be elevatedto its maximum raised position for load situa-tion to remain in white (safe) area.HOISTING AND TOW WINCHINGCAPACITIES–SPADE RETRACTEDWith spade retracted or improperly emplaced(view B, page 2-74, represents right side ofplate), a 15,000 lb (6,810 kg) load may besafely hoisted at any boom elevationthroughout cab turning range. A load of30,000 lb (13,620 kg) may be hoisted onlywith boom at its fully elevated position. Withboom in fully raised position, 30,000 lb(13,620 kg) load may be moved throughoutcab range. When operating in white area, amaximum of 30,000 lb (13,620 kg) may behoisted; when operating in shaded areas, amaximum of only 15,000 lb (6,810 kg) maybe hoisted,2 - 74
