Cover tubeopenings.Remove boom and tow winch motordrain metal tube assembly (11) and towwinch motor drain metal tube assembly(12) at hydraulic drain tee (13) on tra-versing hydraulic motor (10). Cover tubeopenings.Remove metal tube assembly (14) toclear area for removal of cab traversingunit (15).Remove three hexagon capscrews (16)and three Iockwashers (17).Use hoist with lifting capacity of2000 lb (908 kg) to avoid injuryto personnel and damage to equip-ment.NOTEAnother M578 Recovery Vehicleor M88A1 Recovery Vehicle maybe used, if available, for lifting.Rig hoist and sling through rigger’scupola opening. Attach sling to hydraulicSLINGdrain tee (18) andshuttle valve (19).Lift cab traversingit through rigger’straverse brake controlunit (15) and removecupola opening.2-223
