Replace damaged tubes.CAUTIONCare should be taken when feeling tubes.They can be hot enough to bum.W i t h e n g i n e o p e r a t i n g a n d t r a n s m i s s i o ntemperature at approximately 200°F (93°C), feel theoil cooler tubes and the oil cooler. If oil cooler tubesare hot and oil cooler is only warm, notify DirectSupport Maintenance. Turn off engine.Open left rear exhaust deflector grille door andinside deck doors. While an assistant moves shiftingcontrol lever through each position, observet r a n s m i s s i o n s h i f t l e v e r f o r m o v e m e n t . I ftransmission shift lever does not move, checklinkages and repair or replace broken or missingparts (see paragraph 9-76). Check the shift linkagesadjustments (see paragraph 9-77). If transmissionshift lever still cannot be moved, notify DirectSupport Maintenance.Open left rear exhaust deflector grille door and openinside deck doors. Remove screw, securing rearshifting rod to transmission shift lever. While anassistant moves transmission shift control througheach range position, observe rear shifting rod formovement. If rear shifting rod does not move, checklinkage and repair or replace broken or missingparts (see paragraph 9-76). Check the shift linkagesadjustments (see paragraph 9-77). If transmissionshift lever on transmission cannot be moved, notifyDirect Support Maintenance.Change 1 2-40.11
