SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTING TM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment,and injury or death to personnel.ARemove night viewer indicator lamp from socket.Place red lead of multimeter in socket and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, replace lamp (see paragraph 6-15). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step B.BDisconnect wire 516 from night viewer indicator lamp.Place red lead of multimeter in wire 516 and check forvoltage. If voltage is present replace lamp socket(see paragraph 6-29). If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire 999 of switch panel to age paneland miscellaneous switches wiring harness (seeparagraph 6-55).CRemove switch panel to gage panel andmiscellaneous switches wiring harness from passivenight viewer. Place red lead of multimeter in socket Aof wire 999 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERand passive NIGHT VIEWER switches on and checkfor voltage. Turn MASTER and passive NIGHTVIEWER switches OFF. If voltage is present, go tostep D. If voltage is not present, go to step E.2-247
