CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedDRIVER'S PERISCOPE-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.ARemove B.O. receiver indicator lamp from socket.Place red lead of multimeter in socket and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, replace lamp (see paragraph 6-15). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step B.BDisconnect wire 516 from B.O. receiver lamp. Placered lead of multimeter in wire 516 and check forvoltage. If voltage is present, replace lamp socket(see paragraph 6-29). If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire 516 of switch panel to gage paneland miscellaneous switches wiring harness (seeparagraph 6-56).CRemove infrared power supply to driver's periscopelead assembly from driver's periscope. Place red leadof multimeter in wire 517 and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER and B.O. RECEIVER switches on andcheck for voltage. Turn MASTER and B.O.RECEIVER switches OFF. If voltage is present, notifyDirect Support Maintenance. If voltage is not present,go to step D.2-250
