CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedFIXED SPOTLIGHT-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.A Disconnect wire 138 from fixed spotlight. Place redlead of multimeter on wire 138 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, replace spotlight (see paragraph 6-32). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step B.B Reconnect wire 138 to fixed spotlight. Disconnectelectrical accessories panel wiring harness fromelectrical accessories panel. Place a jumper wirefrom pin A to socket A of wire 38/59. Place red leadof multimeter on pin F of wire 38 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, repair/replace wire 38/138 of electricalaccessories panel wiring harness (see paragraph 6-47). If voltage is not present, go to step C.C Place red lead of multimeter in socket A of wire 38/59and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch onand check for voltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. Ifvoltage is present, go to step D. If voltage is notpresent, go to step F.2-254
