CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedTROUBLELIGHT ASSEMBLY-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts ametal surface a direct short may result ininstant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.A Disconnect electrical accessories panel wiring harnessfrom troublelight assembly. Place red lead ofmultimeter in socket B of wire 138 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, go to step B. If voltage is not present, go tostep C.B Place red lead of multimeter in socket A of GND andblack lead to ground. Check for continuity. Ifcontinuity is present, replace troublelight (seeparagraph 6-31). If continuity is not present,repair/replace GND wire of electrical accessoriespanel wiring harness (see paragraph 6-47).CDisconnect electrical accessories panel wiring harnessfrom electrical accessories panel. Place a jumperwire from pin A to socket A of wire 38/59. Place redlead of multimeter on pin F of wire 38 and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, repair/replace wire 38/138 of electricalaccessories panel wiring harness (see paragraph 6-47). If voltage is not present, go to step D.2-258
