SECTlON V: TROUBLESHOOTINGTM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags ,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.A Remove lamp from socket. Place red lead ofmultimeter in socket and black lead to ground. TurnMASTER and driver's VEHICLE EXHAUSTSMOKE switches ON and check for voltage. TurnMASTER and driver's VEHICLE EXHAUSTSMOKE switches OFF. If voltage is present,replace lamp (see paragraph 16-4). If voltage isnot present, go to step B.B Reinstall lamp to socket. Disconnect wire T2 fromindicator light. Place red lead of multimeter onwire T2 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERand driver's VEHICLE EXHAUST SMOKEswitches ON and check for voltage. Turn MASTERand driver's VEHICLE EXHAUST SMOKEswitches OFF. If voltage is present, replace lampsocket (see paragraph 16-4). If voltage is notpresent, go to step C.C Reconnect wire T2 to indicator light. Disconnectdriver's vehicle exhaust smoke bracket to bulkheadconnection wiring harness from driver's switchplate disconnect behind switch panel. Place redlead of multimeter in socket B of wire 27A andblack lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on andcheck for voltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. Ifvoltage is present, go to step J. If voltage is notpresent, go to step D.2-351
