Loosen six self--locking nuts (24) on mounting flange of generator (7) (self--locking nuts are accessible throughvent openings in generator case).10. When all self--locking nuts (24) are loose, pull generator (7) away from chaincase (25) to release flat washers (26)from holes in mounting flange of generator (7).NOTEFlat washers must be clear of holes in mounting flange ofgenerator to permit generator to be turned in the followingstep.11. Turn generator (7) clockwise (as viewed from generator shaft end) about 1.50 in. (3.81 cm) in order for six self--locking nuts (24) and six flat washers (26) to clear generator case.WARNINGThe generator weighs approximately 94 lbs (43 kg). Toavoid injury to personnel, use at least two persons to liftand carry generator.12. Pull generator (7) out of and away from drive gear in chaincase (25). Refer repair of generator to support mainte-nance.13. Remove six self--locking nuts (24) and six flat washers (26) from each of six studs (27). Discard self--locking nuts.2225272372426
