WARNING
Wire ropes can become frayed or contain broken wires.
Wear heavy leather--palmed gloves when handling wire
rope. Frayed or broken wires can injure personnel. Nev-
er let moving wire rope slide through hands, even when
wearing gloves. A broken wire could cut through glove
and cut hands.
CAUTION
Always keep tension on wire rope when paying main
winch in or out. Slack in wire rope may damage equip-
ment.
Do not move winch control handles when wire rope is off
of winch drum. Movement of winch controls causes wire
rope guide and winch drum to become unsynchronized.
If winch control handles have been moved with wire rope
removed from winch drum, wire rope guide and winch
drum must be synchronized prior to installing wire rope.
