Frayed or broken wires can injure personnel. Nev-er let moving wire rope slide through hands, even whenwearing gloves. A broken wire could cut through gloveand cut hands.CAUTIONAlways keep tension on wire rope when paying mainwinch in or out. Slack in wire rope may damage equip-ment.Do not move winch control handles when wire rope is offof winch drum. Movement of winch controls causes wirerope guide and winch drum to become unsynchronized.If winch control handles have been moved with wire roperemoved from winch drum, wire rope guide and winchdrum must be synchronized prior to installing wire rope.
