Installation
WARNING
1. Clean mating surfaces of drain valve assembly (27) and vehicle hull and six screws (42) with dry--cleaning sol-
vent.
2. Install new preformed packing (44) on drain valve assembly (27).
WARNING
3. Apply sealing compound on mating surfaces of drain valve assembly (27) and vehicle hull and under heads and
on threads of six screws (42).
4. Install drain valve assembly (27) on vehicle hull with six screws (42) and six new lockwashers (43).
5. Install cable spacer assembly (32) on bulkhead with two screws (38), two flat washers (39), two new lockwashers
(40) and two nuts (41).
6. Install control assembly (29) through bulkhead.
NOTE
Front control assembly has one nonmetallic grommet.
Rear control assembly has two nonmetallic grommets.
7. Install new nonmetallic grommet(s) (37) on control assembly (29) and in bulkhead.
