TM 9--2350--292--20--20503 00--4LAYER LIMIT SWITCHES ADJUSTMENT -- CONTINUED0503 00Adjustment--ContinuedNOTEDuring the layer limit switches adjustment procedure thebackside of the actuating arm opposite the nylon rollermay contact the winch drum flange. If this occurs it ispermissible to carefully bend the backside of the actuat-ing arm to obtain clearance between the actuating armand the winch drum flange.11. Adjust left side layer limit switch (8) for bottom roller position.a. Verify the left side layer limit switch (8) is not already in the active position by manually moving thenylon roller (3) until an audible click is heard.b. If no click is heard then adjust left side layer limit switch (8) by loosening clamp nut (13) and rotatingleft layer limit switch (8) actuator arm.c. Tighten clamp nut (13) and verify the left side layer limit switch (8) is not in the active position bymanually moving the nylon roller (3) until an audible click is heard.NOTEMore than one feeler gauge may be used together to ob-tain the required thickness.d. Using the gap setting range recorded for the left side layer limit switch (8) in step 6, select feelergauge(s) that correspond to the LOW gap setting range.e. Insert feeler gauge(s) between lower spring guide (11) and nylon roller (3). Layer limit switch (8)should not click.f. Using the gap setting range recorded for the left side layer limit switch (8) in step 6, select feelergauge(s) that correspond to the HIGH gap setting range.g. Insert feeler gauge(s) between lower spring guide (11) and nylon roller (3). Layer limit switch (8)should click.h. If layer limit switch (8) activates when it shouldn’t or doesn’t activate when it should, then loosenclamp nut (13) and rotate layer limit switch (8) activating arm to a new position.i. Tighten clamp nut (13) and repeat steps 11d through 11g. When the LOW range feeler gauge(s) donot activate layer limit switch (8) and the HIGH range feeler gauge(s) do activate layer limit switch (8)the adjustment is correct.Figure 264381113GAUGE
