These surfaces must be thoroughly clean anddry; otherwise, the non--hygroscopic tape or sealer will not stick properly.5. LubricationLubricate vehicle in accordance with Lubrication Instructions (TM 9--2350--292--10 and WP 0187 00).6. Left Fuel TankInspect fuel filler cap assembly (WP 0214 00) for proper seal. Repair or replace, as required.InstallationWARNINGCAUTIONTo prevent damage to vehicle, ensure pre--installationprocedures are completed before installing the deep wa-ter fording kit.NOTERefer to TM 9--2350--292--24P for complete listing ofDeep Water Fording Kit Parts.Unless otherwise specified, stow items removed forinstallation of Deep Water Fording Kit in vehicle’s stow-age boxes.Sealer tape (12367083) is an acceptable substitute forfording sealer (11672186) and may be used any placefording sealer (11672186) is required.Below 45F (7.2C), apply fording sealer (11672186) withadhesive (MMM--A--1617) to ensure proper adhesion.This will make compound difficult to remove.
