SECTION II: INSTALLATION PROCEDURESTM 9-2350-256-20I-7 ENGINE EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORTS1Remove two cover plates (see paragraph 9-58) on top of engine deck from exhaust stack by removingeight screws (1) and eight lockwashers (2). Retain screws.2Remove two existing elbows (3) by removing two clamps (4) and retain.3Install two kit-furnished flexible exhaust pipes (5)on engine exhaust outlets using kit-furnishedclamp (6) and seal (7). Apply adhesive sealant(Table I-1, item 4) to pipe flange (8).4Install four kit-furnished clamps (9) with eightpreviously removed screws (1) and eight newlockwashers (2).5Install two previously removed elbows (3) onflexible exhaust pipes (5) each with previouslyremoved clamp (4). Apply adhesive sealant(Table I-1, item 4) around joint to prevent entry ofwater.6Start and operate engine (refer to TM 9-2350-256- 10). While exhaust system is hot, tighten allexhaust system clamped joints.I-7
